Editorial Standards

Modern Airline Retailing is built to be a practical reference for airline retailing, distribution, pricing, and transformation work. We aim to publish explanations that are usable, traceable, and easy to verify against public sources.

Source policy

We use publicly available material from airline, standards, and industry organisations. When a page cites a vendor or airline product, the citation should point to a public product page, factsheet, or publication rather than marketing claims that cannot be checked.

Editorial review

Pages should explain the operational meaning of a concept, not just repeat jargon. We prefer concrete scenarios, comparison tables, and diagrams that help product, architecture, and operations teams understand how a concept behaves in practice.

Corrections

If a page is incomplete or outdated, it should be updated rather than hidden. Material changes should preserve the original public source trail wherever possible.

AI visibility

The site exposes machine-readable signals through robots access, sitemap entries, page metadata, structured data, and llms.txt. That gives search systems and AI platforms a clear inventory of what the site covers.

What we do not do

We do not present product comparisons as endorsements. We do not claim private implementation details. We keep vendor references generic unless the page is explicitly citing a public source.
